Can Trucks(Bogies) be Shared

I am working on a solid bearing truck and was wondering if other modelers could, if they wish, use it on their own models by referencing it in the appropriate Blueprint file?

I believe not. Although RW incorporates bogie blueprints, these reference wheelsets within the main asset geometry file; I don't think these can be linked to external mesh files in the way that Trainz can.

However if you can make the trucks available in the common 3D file formats that would a useful addition to the train modelling object library.

Thanks again for the input longbow. I guess conversely that means that I cannot get these into the game without them being part of a wagon model. If and when I do get them in I will make them available as a .3ds or .igs file.

If you save them as a 3ds file, for those using 3DCanvas they can be imported then saved in their objects library and added to rolling-stock.
Not sure how it works in 3DMax though.

The E-Light scene provided by Railworks in their Artwork Plugin package doesn't work in Max 2010 but the script itself seems to work fine. Here is the truck with a gray material rendered under the light dome the script provides:
