RSC GP 9 repaint help

Unread postby RAILSOHIO » Sat Feb 11, 2012 10:59 am

So I have read many posts on alpha-ing out the cab numbers, but have no luck. I do want to keep the numberboards. I cloned the Rock GP9 with RW tools. I have Irfanview, Gimp2, CS5,Photoshope elements and 2 more graphics programs. But I cant get the cab numbers to change. Yes I clear the cache before launching. I do check the file in loco's folder to see if it has been updated. If I rename the number file,I do get the missing texture patch in its place,so it must not be aliased? I altered ths DCSV file and cleared off the numbers(and numberboards) too. Reverted to original. Also,is there a tutorial on editing the number range of the engines. Any help is appreciated. Joe

Firstly, you need to edit the "GP9_Digits.bin" file in the textures folder like you did the main bin file so it has the correct file path, and you can set the number range with the "GP9_numbers.dcsv" file. All the available numbers are specified in that file. Just open it with notepad and when you look at it you can see the pattern so you'll know what numbers to change.
(the highlighted ones in the example)
