CN Fonts

Unread postby Kali » Mon Nov 14, 2011 3:53 pm

Anyone know what the old ( pre '61 ) Canadian National typeface was? it's quite square, the numbers have a bit of a blobby feel though.

Example here:

I have cobbled together something from a couple of other fonts for the lettering, but I can't find anything remotely close for the numbers yet:

I use Swiss 721 for the current design.

The NS font is close... just a bit thick.

Turns out it wasn't terribly close, unfortunately. I used the numbers from the font I got most of the letters off in the end. Unfortunately there's so much processing on the letters atm they're really fuzzy, so the numbering just stands out absurdly. And the number panel refuses to switch numbers atm -_-

The font is Do Gothic - probably obtained via a designer friend, I have a few wierd fonts that seemed to spring from nowhere.
