This massive book is one of a limited edition published in 1950 and is a collection of plates, drawing, dimensions and specs taken directly from the 1883 publication 'Recent Locomotives' by Railroad Gazette Publishing Company.
Although I love railways, etc. I could never find a real use for the excellent plates, technical drawings, advertisements and technical information within. It clearly would be an excellent resource for anyone recreating such locos in TS2012.
If anyone was planning to create such, I would be open to giving you access to the book, as long as I felt comfortable about it's safekeeping (valued at $100 when I researched on the Internet) and return to me. Shipping would be your responsibility/cost but at the minimal needed to get it to you. I would also feel better if I could see previous examples of your model making for RW2/TS2012.
I would prefer a serious commitment to the use of the book and to be able to feel assured that it would be on loan in a mature setting where the safety of the book is ensured.
Maybe nothing will come of this post, but that all depends on who would really desire access to it.
