I can help deal with your baggage

I emailed Rick to see if the Genesis/Superliner pack included a baggage car.. It does not. That's ok though.. Not a deal breaker what so ever.. So.. I decided to fill the void temporarily.. Even though it's not the prototypical car, or have power cable jumpers it should be fine as a fill in until we get a proper Amtrak baggage car. The gang way door *should* line up with the Superliner Transitional car if one was modeled. Either way it'll make for a nice fill in.
So with the magic of Photoshop.. The ACF Baggage Car converted into an Amtrak baggage car. With some coloring left to do (skirt and right below the roof line)
Fake roof rips
Fake bodyside ribs
Fake door windows
Waalaah

Now.. I have another project I will start as soon as I save this.. Secret until I'm comfortable with it and passed the point of "this sucks I'm not finishing it" :)

Thanks!
Ok.. Finally.. A year since abandoning it.. I made a conscious effort to actually finish this. Which basically involved starting over.. Results came out great, nearly finished. Not protypical either but it will due for now.
Was going to do Ricks GP40, but don't like the textures. One important part shares the same part of the texture as another item on the engine. Total buzz kill.

Well, there is no actual baggage car included in the Genesis addon, but a Superliner Coach/Baggage´.
Nice work.

Yea, Spent 2 days trying to figure out why the headlight bezels had stripes on 'em. That's why the GM50 has no logo on the end of the long hood and why I was planning on a Chessie GP40 but changed my mind, that livery would not work on that model.

...and those Amtrak units look really good

It would but those are used as MOW work trains mostly, but I have seen them either up north in maine or in the midwest i forget a few of them providing HEP of some passenger trains. Don't know why.

I forget where I read it, but he gave all his stuff to someone on UKTS to maintain. It should be up there.

That would be the files uploaded by Steven (Merlin75) Gittins on the April, 2012 page of the library here.

I remember downloading this repaint with a P42-DC that was in Phase 1 Heritage Scheme from the file library here. I don't have the actual file that I downloaded but I still have the repaint installed, if the file can't be found, I wonder if I'm aloud to upload it.

Standard practice for adding files to the library are:
1) The uploader must be the creator (repainter, modifer, etc.).
2) if not the above, written permission from the creator must be included in the upload, or somehow publicly available (as in the case of Merlin75 uploading some of Styckx's work).
I've seen too many instances in the past of folks adding stuff to other libraries where they were just uploading someone elses work, only to have that someone complain, or worse.
