Utah Belt!

While I continue toying around with a livery for my R&WA Dash 9, I figured I'd knock out a few of these nice, easy Utah Belt locomotives:

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of reference material to go on with these so I'm going to be relying on feedback from you guys quite a bit to get them right. These are just based on my best guesses from the pictures I've seen.

Here are some pics that i hope can help you:

AC4400 (ES44 could work though)

SD70MAC:

SD40-2 Snoot:

they basically follow the same pattern for these units, the F units and older have a different scheme though:

I heart you. !*YAAA*!

Some suggestions, the Utah Belt on the long hoods is a little over sized especially on the older GP38's and GP9's.

Compare it to this Utah Belt SD60 up for bid on Ebay (the guy selling is Eric Brooman the creator of the Utah Belt): http://cgi.ebay.com/Utah-Belt-HO-Proto- ... dZViewItem

Or this SD40-2 (a few posts down): http://dieseldetailer.proboards.com/ind ... hread=2913

The Tiger Stripes appear on all noses and long hood ends, regardless of locomotive model. As seen on the above photos, the yellow extends to cover the full front of the locomotives, not just the nose (which you have done).

For the AC4400 you can use the Dash 9. Has the same exact body. Only rivet counters can tell the difference.

EDIT: Here are some models Jointed Rail did for Trainz:

Those look really good, nice work. That road never gets much attention but I do like the way they look.

MR just did a layout on them in Feb this year. As usual it was quiet impressive.

Well, since no one has pointed out any flaws in the GP9, I'm gonna go ahead and release it:

It comes complete with autonumbering and 40 road numbers based on the list that canadianrail posted.

An hour. That looks good. I guess you are going to have the entire Utah Belt fleet soon.
