I really don't know which person you have in mind. *!lol!*
But anyway, would be nice. The WP had a lot of them in its final years.

I think Canada was calling out to Mad Mike (our current Repaint Meister) . Unfortunately the only GP40 available is from Portland Terminal. I know that Ricksan (G-Trax) said something about releasing the assets separately in the future, but he never came back with a date.

But if Mike is up to the challenge...

Could you, would you, pretty please???

"Meister"?
Hmm, so you go to the "kindergarten" every day? *!!wink!!* !*roll-laugh*!

The problem is that what you can see from the pics, at least the WP GP40-2 is very different from the "standard" GP40-2 included in Portland Terminal.
But maybe a GP40 and 40-2 could be another project for our switcher-"Meister" Derek someday.

Heh, so Meister can also mean "Grade School Teacher"? Well, to be honest, Mike has taught me a lot regarding repaints, and to give more credit where its due the same goes to Kali as well.

Yea, I know it being a standard GP40, but until Derek or Ricksan, or maybe Dick draw up a -2 its the only one to play with :D

You know, if you half close one eye and stand back a bit, you could do that scheme on a GP38-2 and nobody would notice the difference... !*roll-laugh*!

I hate to admit it but for years I was claiming I had an SP GP40-2 in my N-Scale fleet. Then I needed to get a replacement shell for it (long story), which forced me to read the box... GP38-2. You can imagine that I felt a bit awkward after that, and since have never looked at a GP40 the same again.

No. *!lol!*

I just wanted to allude to the fact that "kindergarten/kindergarden" is a German word used in the US (also UK?). *!!wink!!*
Because you used "Meister", what , I'm sure you know it, means master.

Also in the UK too, yep.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 835&nseq=1 is a very striking livery, I prefer that to the black & orange one. I wish I could do it but I have stuff stacking up more and more :p

Ok, so I know now. Thanks.

You mean the green&orange livery? It only looks black&orange on most pictures because of dirt and bad colour quality I think.
And you're right, I also prefer the silver&orange (I think it's called Zephyr livery).

Yes, "dirt & orange" :) although that silver would turn grey about 2 miles down the line...

I suspect it's actually black & orange, and the green is colour artifacts from the film or processing. And dirt with lighting too.

No, I'm sure there is also a green&orange livery. Now, I can't get this question out of my head! **!!bang!!**

The heritage WP SD70 is olive/orange/grey so I guess there must have been.

Tell you what though, the F units had some fantastic liveries.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 56&nseq=75 is definitely green.
