Moving a decal slightly

Does anyone know how to move the location of a decal slightly? Is there some value in the Geo that you can change to move it or does this need to be done on the model itself with Blender or something like that?

This is something that almost always has to be done using the original source files in a 3D Cad program like Blender.

Well Buzz, the key word is slightly. If such, a change of position is possible by changing the values of 13, 14 and 15th parameters of the 16 value matrix within the .geopcdx file. Mind you it will depend if the decal is alone or if it has a shared mirror position (thus 2 sides of an enfine) - if it's so, then be prepared for a surprise as the results are often weird. Finding the proper line for the said decal within the matrix is a bit tricky, but a listing (under the matrix) is where I look for its place of order.

Not easy to explain !!!! !DUH!
P.S. which model are you refering to. If I have a copy I could look into it!

I've played with this concept in trying to relocate dynamic numbering. It was largely trial and error and very tedious. It could be much easier if we had an asset viewer. I also experimented with a grid layout to help. Probably the best help would be an Excel-ish program that would compute the new location based on a series of grid values. That's way above my pay grade!

Just moving an object is usually easy because the values are meters on each axis starting from the center point of the model.
See this tutorial.
The main challenge is finding out the exact distance you want to move the object.

Thanks to Bernard he led me out of the forest and gave me great advice for fixing this issue. Just another example of how great the folks are here on this forum. You are spot on Chacal. I was just momentarily suffering from spacial disorientation. !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*!
