Pennsylvania Railroad E6s 4-4-2 Atlantic Release

Unread postby RailWanderer » Thu Apr 16, 2020 4:08 pm

First of all, thanks for all the great feedback and Kudos from everyone in regards to the work Darlan and I have done to bring these great locomotives to the community of Train Simulator.

Secondly, we have released the Pennsylvania Railroad E6s 4-4-2 Atlantic as freeware just like the NYC J3a Hudsons. And as we have been trying to improve these versions we have also released Updates to both units to improve the wheel performance, or to be more specific, the wheel RPMs. The locomotives are both available at the URL below. Thank you again for your interest in our products.

Click the website image in my Signature to get these wonderful locomotives. Then find the menu on the lower right to go to "Steam Locomotives"

It's a fun little thing. Without the speedo or any sort of reverser indicator besides that little notch thing (it's fun to have an early steamer without all of the modern luxuries), it presents a strange challenge to run.

I can't get it to show in game. When I try to load the QD consist I get a memory dump. I try to add the consist to the track in the editor and the locomotive doesn't show, only the tender and passenger cars. I can't see anything in the engine bin file but I have to be missing something. Any Ideas?

Yep you probably missed the notice on making sure you have the K4Pack01 from DTG installed and active as the characters in the locomotive are from that package. Also, if you get weird graphics floating in the back ground then you are also missing this package being installed and active. Not sure what Buzz has in mind cause he does things different. !!*ok*!!

Also for you folks who like using Edge, you can download the files on the site using right click and "Save as Target" and once the file is downloaded just change the .htm extension to .rwp and the file will be fine. You will get a warning when you do so, just click ok through it and all will be fine. Then use your Utility app that comes with TS or use an archival app to extract the files.

Thanks to all who have shown an interest.

Ourselves, we don't use Quick Drives, so that is the reason they were left out, and I doubt that will change.

Also, everyone should be happy with the downloads now as they are all in zip packages.

The download includes a Quick Drive consist. I was trying to use that and also create my own consist in a scenario but it won't show the locomotive.

The QD consist loads with no problem here.

I tried with a fresh install of Railworks and Horse Shoe curve along with the K4 Pack and I still get the memory dump. I made sure the K4 was checked in the editor.
