Thanks Mike, was worried that you shelved it. I can't wait to try it out.

The tutorial you found on alpha masking in Gimp helped a lot... you'll notice the reds are good even in the direct sun. Lettering and some jewelry work and it'll be up for downloading.

Glad I could help with Gimp. Does this mean that you will also revisit some of your more popular repaints to give them "new" treatment?

That was the one... lots of good information there.

Finished, and Hawk has it...
An interesting note for the SP history folks. Southern Pacific EMD E7 #6003 was purchased as an A-B set, and ordered painted in the 'Golden State' colors of Orange and Cream. It later went to the Daylight pool, and was painted as represented here. It's final days were in freight service, and painted in the 'Bloody Nose' scheme until the end of it's life. I've done the freight and Daylight versions now.

Can't wait to try it, it will run good with the Daylight and Daylight train cars.
Will it run if we have Dick Cowen's freeware E-Unit and not the payware version?

You only need the payware set if you want the B unit. The A units are included in the freeware pack, and you can run the crewed one and two or three uncrewed ones. Interesting that you mention the Daylight Lightweight freeware set from G-Trax, that's what i matched the colors to.

Here's the third set of (actually the original) colors for the 6001-2-3 SP E7s. They were delivered in this scheme for the Golden State, a joint venture of the SP and the Rock Island. There were (and will be before I'm done) Identically painted, but Rock Island franked E7s. The cars were a mix of Harriman smoothsides (which we need badly!) and RI Budd rib cars.

Here SP E7 #6003 is posing in each of her dresses.

Mike,
I have dl'd your E7-SP-freight, your E7-SP-Daylight, and the E7 ATSF Warbonnet. Extreme thanks for these beauties. I do have a couple of questions that I don't know if it is me or if they are general:
1. Cannot get the horn and bell to work on the ATSF E7a units. The SP's work fine. I have tried aliasing the ATSF unit to the default but I can't make that work either.
2. Is the dual light on/off feature only on the ATSF units? The SP daylight has lower light on all the time, the SP freight lower is always off.
Thanks again for the very sweet models.
