Autonumbering Revisited... Take II

Unread postby TVRRMAN » Mon May 09, 2011 9:23 am

Ok guys,

I've come across a problem that I don't know a solution for, or what to look for to resolve it. As many of you know if you've been reading through what few posts I've been releasing lately, BLLW has a Bay Window Caboose kit underway.

I've come to doing up the five digit shapes, which is where this problem seems to be focused. in 3D Canvas Pro, I've named the autonumbering cubes as primarydigits_5, and textured from left to right as primarynumber_4, primarynumber_3, primarynumber_2, primarynumber_1 and primarynumber_0.

Next, I've exported it using the Exporter (I'm using 3D Canvas 7.1.2.0). For the rest of the example, I'm going to use 41320 for the cars number.

In the asset editor, when I do the preview, the car properly displays as car number 41320. With this in order, I clear the blueprint cache in Railworks 2, then export this car.

When I place it in a scenario though, instead of listing as 41320, it's visually listing as 31320, despite no 31300 series numbers used. So I double click to pull up the option to load the car or change the car number. However, in the car number box, its showing the proper assigned number: 41320. Has anyone ever had this problem before, and solved it.

Thanks in advance.

Ok guys,

Due to lack of solutions on this issue, I've effectively retired the five digit numbered cars until a future date or until the problem is resolved. The package will probably be released without five digit numbered cars until such time as a solution is found.
