100t coal hoppers

Unread postby Toripony » Sun May 01, 2011 1:27 pm

Man o' man, Michael is just pouring out the new products lately!!!!! Hope he's taking time to blink, lol.
I just found the C&O boxcars and couldn't download them fast enough. Am going into RW to try them out now. But while I am thinking of it, something else I am really looking forward to is when someone makes C&O and Chessie (even a handful of CSX) repaints of the 100t coal hopper that is in the RWA Donateware pack. If any repainters find the time, I hope you might add this to your list.

We can never have enough hoppers. Michael has put out some fantastic work and I am sure he is busy with more so keep an eye on his website.

I would like to know where are all the coal hopper assets that are required for our coal transporting railroads? I am newbie to Railworks. And I have spent a frustrating last several weeks lurking around every one of the hobby forums that I been able to find and gleaning rolling stock assets from all the download libraries, both freeware and payware. I have yet to find many, if any, coal hoppers or ones reskinned for C&O/CSX or N&W/NS. Even the basic default coal_hopper.bin files are hiding from me. They don't appear to be bundled with TS2013 in the Kuji or RSC asset folders of the latest version of Railworks anyhow. I have box cars and covered hoppers coming out the wazu. Where are the coal hoppers needed to populate long strings of the coal drags in our mountain divisions haul behind MU diesels and heavy steam. The Scenarios that I am collecting so far have losts of missing but necessary assets that leave them impossible to run.

I realize that the payware sites, like Golden Age of Railroading and G-TraX Simulations, are currently shut down while discovered conflicts are being resolved with the new RailWorks_4. Maybe the coal cars are hiding on these sites. I don't have enough personal posts on Elvas Tower forum to qualify for download privileges there yet, so I am stuck playing the canned scenarios that come with the DLC on Steam.

Hi Buzz

I think I already got these Coal Hoppers when I installed NERW Route. Thanks for pointing me back to the link.

But I am looking for the CSX and C&O coal hopper repaints required for ToriPony's COARW Beta4-5 Route scenarios. Anybody know where they are hiding?

BTW, is Michael's website "Golden Age of Railroading"? I think I read somewhere that his site has been taken down to get some conflicts with the new TS2013 release of Railworks on Steam resolved.

Not sure about that but I thought they were in the asset pack for the COA. Maybe you had to have one of Michael's cars for this to work. I'll take a look tonight when I get home from work and see where they are. Maybe I can help you out if no one jumps in here before I get home.

When Tori was putting the scenarios together she asked me if it was OK if she used some NERW stuff and I told her to help herself. She used a few packages of NERW stuff. She also used a lot of stuff from JesseJames.

Hi Buzz,

Those are the 100t Coal Hoppers I am looking for. What Asset Library are they in?

Artimrj,

I like your 100t Coal Hopper. I also like NERWPA Route as well.

Now, where can I find the 125t Coal Hopper that I need for WB Empties scenario in COARW route?
