For some reason I cannot open Britkit's PSP reskin files in CS3. When I do I get a message box that states "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." Is there a plug in for CS3 (Photoshop) that will allow me to open and convert these files?

PSP is a Paint Shop Pro format. You can't open it on Photoshop without a plugin.

Try this link: http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/ Scroll down to find 'Paint Shop Pro Format'.

I can't say as to whether or not it works because I don't have Photoshop.

Well that almost works... I will ask you which layer you want to work with, but you will only get one layer out of the PSP.

no worries, it the closest I have seen so far.

Apparently I can download an old version of PSP here:

Anyone know if its legit?

PSP used to be shareware once upon a time; what I've done is find an old copy of psp ( v7, I think ) and just convert all the paint templates to PSD in it.

I have PSP 7, 8, and 10 and I like 10 the best.

What's neat is I only had to pay for 8. I found a download of V-10 about a year ago for free. The download was only available for about a week though.
I had the trial version of 7, then bought 8, but there was a problem with 8 in that it wouldn't save tga files with an alpha channel properly, so I contacted Jasc (this was before Corel took over) and they sent me the license code for 7. *!greengrin!*

I think so; you can get a free trial of Corel Paintshop Photo Pro as it's now called, so as long as those are the original shareware versions I don't see the difference. I just found mine on a backup CD.
