NYC Interest

Unread postby RailWanderer » Tue Jan 08, 2019 2:57 pm

Darlan Gomes has asked me to enter this image of his two NYC locomotives to find what interest there is in releasing these locomotives. He seems to be having problems being allowed to become a member of RWA even though he is in the Americas.

Darlan would like some positive feedback on what the members would like to see along with the J3a and the J3a Dreyfuss Hudsons. These are highly detailed Locomotives including the cabs, inside and outside with active valving.

Thanks for your feedback in advance.

Get those and a route together and I'll gladly pay for them.

We weren't thinking payware, just curious if there is real interest. An NYC route would take a lot of time for one man to complete, even in a partial route.

He has been told by others that these forums aren't for foreigners, some foreigners are actual Americans by location alone. DSGDDR watch for that name to appear. Thanks Buzz.

I often run NYC scenarios on the NERW Pennsylvania Sub. It's a fictional route so I can run any equipment there. Would love to see these two steamers pulling a couple of long passenger consists.

Not sure who these "others" are but everyone is welcome here, regardless of what country you are from.

Hey, I am just relating what the man said to me and was told by a current member. Myself, I told Darlan that I didn't think he would have a problem and should try registering again. It is what it is. Just sayin.

Railwanderer, While I will be up front and say I'm not a NYC fan by any means, The streamlined and unstreamlined J3As showcased look amazing and are definitely worthy of joining the lineup, and they'd definitely find a home in my roster. Please tell your friend to try again with the registration.

I have said this to various locomotive developers. Just because there is not a route available to a specific engine type, does not mean there is not interest. Sometime a route does not get developed, because the signature motive power is not available. So the release of these engines may inspire some to build a part of the NYC. I would be thrilled to see them available, with or without a route.

This!

You put these beauties up and someone will be inspired to build a route. I don't want to hear any Eeyore's out there saying someone couldn't build it out of the New York-New Haven and Horseshoe Curve Routes. It can be done!

By the way, I drive by every single day where the J3a Dreyfuss Hudsons would start their North bound journey at Croton-Harmon Yard in Croton-on-Hudson, New York.
