Placing couplers on US equipment

I finally got my SimpleWagon from the Railsimulator tutorial to work. It wouldn't work two years ago. I went into Railsimulator today on my XP computer and it works. Don't ask me why it works now but it does.

My Simple Wagon works in Railworks. I am trying to get Buckeyes on the car. When I go into the asset editor there are two coupler "thinga-ma-gigs". Two are labeled front and two labeled rear in the little box that can't be read because the screen is too small in the asset preview.

What do I do with them? I can get a coupler to show up on one end and not the other.

The couplers are showing up but not in the right places. One on the front end and two at the pivot point.

The front "thingamigs" are correct, you have to turn the rear "thingamigs" 180deg so they will be correct

Had them on the wrong ends. D-oh! Figured it had to be stupid !*hp*! .

Now the first car couples to the loco but the cars won't couple together !*don-know!*

There is a piece on UKTrainsim about coupling, will go over it tomorrow, something about the "collision" box.

There's also a rather nice tool to set up couplers, which I will try and link if I can remember the name.

Nothing beats that feeling when something is accomplished that is outside one's comfort zone.
