Right now im working on a thrall 52' gondola and im almost done with the modeling and have the thing textured and ready for export.
when i go to export the model it took almost 2 hours to export (1.7 to be exact) and its not even that high poly'd (55k) so i dont get whats causing its export times to be so long. and i might have to resize it multiple times, so i really cant have it acting up like this.
anyone have any ideas?

I think in that department it really has something to do with your modeling program.

It cant be blender. it ususally exports anywhere from 0.11 seconds to 50 seconds. so this one is weird. my thought might be its the textures. so im going to play with those and see what happens. but its taking quite a while for it to export from the blueprint builder as well. (its still exporting as a type this)

Window > Open System Console
Do this before you start the export script.

Well I was able to get the export time down to a min. Thats great,
What was done was I split up the handrails from the rest of the car, made them their own object, then used limited dissolve to cut down the poly and vert count.
by doing that the model export in 66.7 seconds with the car coming in at a wopping 8K Triangles. haha
Well thanks Chacal and j for taking the time to help me out :)
