repaints of the wooden boxcars

Unread postby thecanadianrail » Tue Mar 08, 2011 9:21 am

i was wondering if anybody has done a repaint of one of the wooden boxcars from golden age of railroading. so far there are the ones without a name, the GN, NP cars in 36ft, and the NP car in 40ft. plus those 30ft cars. i have all of them except for the 30ft cars. i will get those soon though. it would be nice to see one with my logo on it aswell! (see the picture beside my name to the right ---> )

Would this work?

Picture updated...

Download this, rename it by removing the CNR and space from the name, then copy it to the 'Assets/GreatNortherner/SteamEra/RailVehicles/Freight/36ft-Box-Generic/Unlettered/Textures/' replacing the original file, or rename the original before copying the new file.

I had that issue on the first attempt, I may have posted the wrong file. The new file is in the old message, with an underscore after the CNR. I took it directly from the folder that I loaded for the pictures.

I fixed up a little nicer version of the boxcar and created a .rwp pack for it so it loads as a separate item. It's on the rolling stock page for download now.

it is great!, i was wondering if you could make a few more since you ar really good at this
UP boxcar, CB&Q, CP, DRG&W, and a Canadian Northern Boxcar, i could only find one image of their boxcar, but it is a reefer. the boxcar has the same type of lettering (minus the word refrigorator) and it is brown like the CN boxcar.

Since the build dates are in the late 'teens, one could use the Selkirks 2-8-0 or any USRA locomotive from the WW1 (1918) era. I imagine they sold in Canada as well.
