After a few pc problems i'm back trying to get to grips with the switch to blender from 3dcrafter.
In 3dcrafter there was a toolbox function where i could store premade parts for use on other models.
Does such a thing exist in blender?
If not is it possable to load the seperate model pieces to the model?
I'm still pretty new to blender but already i'm finding it a lot better and faster to use than 3dcrafter.

Cheers
Roy

I believe you can load previously created models into a scene, or add them to another model. I haven't tried it yet, but I remember seeing something in the interface for this. I just did a quick Google search on Blender adding model, and a lot of links came up. And welcome to the Blender community!

While you have a model in blender, you can use the import tool to import a file. i usually use .obj to save parts such as trucks and handrails that i've made. you can just import them in and they are preselected.

Thanks guys I shall give that a try.
I've got a load of bits and pieces from other models that I can re-use or modify so that will add a little bit of speed to a massive modeling challenge i've gave myself.

The 'Append' function in the File menu allows you to import selected objects from other .blend files into the current project.
