Well I've been experimenting in Blender with creating models and such and I've made some breaker bars like the ones used on Donner Pass by union pacific, but I have no clue how to make it a child to place onto an SD40 or something similar so i could use it on Donner Pass.

Nice work! These were mounted on GP38-2 units on Donner. I believe PapaXpress had a similar project going in the past. Perhaps he could point you in the right direction regarding the child objects.
