GE C44-9W Physics Mod?

I just acquired the Dash 9 Pack for free via a free loco choice in twitch messaging, and was disappointed with the physics quality. !*not-ok*! The dynamic brakes are broken, and the engine RPMs change too fast. I found a mod on FerroSim.es but it was fairly unsatisfactory.

Anyone want to take the initiative? Btw, if the mod involves the alteration of the engine sound proxyxml, then its best to use the proxys included with Anthony's freeware FDL16 sounds.

Surprised someone like FanRailer hasn't jumped on this one given his proclivity to diesel-electric mods and it's been since November.

To be honest, I've tinkered around with this particular loco after viewing FanRailer's modding tutorial on YouTube sometime last semester. Even though I'm primarily concerned with steam loco physics, would you like to give my Dash 9 tinkering a try?

Changes would include:
-coupler fix
-dynamic brake fix (according to figures by Al Krug)
-t.e. fix (again, from Al Krug)
-adjustments to horsepower
-better t.e. to speed curve
-better dynamic brake to speed curve
-honest-to-goodness 8 throttle positions like it's SUPPOSED to have - the RSC/DTG model for whatever reason has 9
-along with fixed amount of throttle positions comes an edited t.e. to throttle curve. FanRailer in his video argued that this file is not so important and so would only have values for 0% throttle and run 8. Al Krug included an approximate power setting for each throttle position, however, that makes the real engine somewhat of a unique challenge to operate through reduced speed zones and yards (the difference in power between Run 1 and Run 2, for example, is 150% while the difference between Run 2 and Run 3 is 100%). I have attempted to recreate this in the t.e. to throttle file and it seems at least IMO to match the description.
-adjustment to idle and max rpm

The changes so far only apply to the default BNSF Dash 9. I also started experimenting with the NS Dash 9-40CW which would include an improved numbering scheme right off the roster.

Anthony and I are working on a sound pack that's going to cover pretty much all of the above and some other neat stuff with Mike Rennie most likely joining us soon on the project.

Advanced sounds, advanced physics and advanced braking, almost too good to be true. I'll gladly pay for a really good enhancement pack, as Mike's help probably comes at a price. :D
A sensibly working SDIS and brake valve LCD would top it all off.

Which ones, actually? There have been several roadnames released over the years. The independent brake handle on the combined desktop control valve has an awkward bail off position, you have the press the lever inwards IIRC.

On the desktop CCB-II, on BNSF engines you lift a ring on the independent brake handle by squeezing it to actuate, on the vertical ones for AAR controls, you push the independent downwards like a 26L.
On the 30CDW that's on wide cab 60s, Dash 8s, and a lot of commuter engines, you push the independent outwards.
I've been working on the textures for working interactive IFD's for the Dash 9s.
Main screen will have most things function that makes sense for the game. All gauge's will function properly on it.
Other interactive screens will include:
Distributed Power (both half and full DP screen) (on applicable locomotives, this excludes the NS Dash 9s as a majority do not have DP)
Loco Monitor
Slow Speed (for accessing slow speed control)

Really glad more advanced features will be implemented in the enhancement pack, this isn't just a sound pack anymore. Especially hyped about the multifunction displays that once displayed N/A, now that'll display the brake pressure and all that stuff.

How will the sound pack be compatible with existing freeware repaints?
