Hi. I am just looking for peoples opinions on the VRC GP40? Is it a new product? How does it feel to drive? Is there a full feature list somewhere?

Thanks. :D

Callum.

It's a good model, and one of the best locomotives currently available.
It is a little complicated to start up, but drives well once you've got the hang of it.

The creators had to circumvent lots of bugs and limitations in TS2015's core simulation engine to make their locomotive as real as possible. They have succeeded very well.

I only have a personal quibble with the scripted braking, as I miss the proper 26L positions and would like to have a more delicate control range on the handle's sector between minimal reduction and full service reduction. In the prototype a 30 degrees arc allows the engineer to make a 20 PsI reduction of the trainline in small increments.
