What Tool to Use To Make ReSkins?

I am currently attempting my first ever reskin and was wondering what tools you guys use to reskin your locos. Any feedback is greatly appreciated as I want to start on this soon!

--RSBinTool
--DXTBmp
--Photoshop
--Paintshop Pro

Everyone does things a little different but I use Paint.Net and Gimp for my editors. You need RSBinTool (in the library) to export the .TgPcDx files. You will also need DXTBmp to convert the DDS files to your editor. AS far as the whole procedure we can get into that after you get the various software. I'm sure others will weigh in on other programs.

What form are you saving the file from Gimp that RSBinTool recognizes if you don't mind my asking?

Hmm, I didn't know GIMP would save as a DDS.

It's a plugin. Without...yeah there is no way to save anything ^^

It would have to be Gimp (probably the Nvidia DDS utility).
It does give me the idea of making RSBinTool work with the Nvidia tools, but right now I just don't have the time to make that happen.

Ok only for you: I use Gimp 2.9 with DDS plugin and RSBinTool latest version. Are everything clear now Sir ?

Ok guys. Here's my set-up.
RS Bin Tool
Photoshop CS2 (with DDS plugin)
I have begun with the reskin. Finding out what file is what is frustrating, but I guess it's worth it in the end. Here's an update on the reskin.
