U-boat???

Unread postby PamBrooker » Wed Feb 05, 2014 11:17 pm

I realize this topic comes up every now and then, but there hasnt been anything since the oovie post in december on it.. Is the U-25b promised to us last year by RSC still being worked on or complete vaporware at this time?? Does anyone know, can anyone take a guess??? I've been looking for one of these for two years now and its been no joy with the only representation of one being a chinese modified bay window version of one.. I'd really like to know whats going on with it so i can either look forward to it, or give up and move on.
thanks.

RSC isn't the developer. We are. (Oovee) We currently have our game SpinTires to work on that is priority, but in the mean time, I have been working on sound packs.

So the U-boat was a priority and then the priority changed. I can appreciate that. Shifting priorities are part and parcel with the hobby industry. Bleh. I just woke up all grumpy bears. Pulling on my experiences as a developer in the flight sim community I can guarantee one thing however: Shifting priorities will kill the business.. I've seen it happen too many times. Take my P-61 ( SOH P-61 project ) for example. we started that years ago and announced it. There was a big flourish of activity and hope from the community just like there was for the U-boat. For my part, I put in over 3000 hours of work developing the flight characteristics for that plane, making sure that to the best of my ability that plane would fly exactly as the real P-61s flew. The 3D modeler person burned out after a year. The result?? The plane was never released; Everyone involved lost credibility and trust throughout the community and i am no longer doing flight dynamics. People go elsewhere to groups they know can deliver on their promise.
Dont be like that.. Finish the U-25b please..
Pam

PS. I do understand youve requested to work on the loco and theyve skirted around it with you. This reply isnt aimed at you, its aimed at whoever id making the decisions regarding project priorities. Please dont take it personally..

Zane hasn't skirted anything with me, it's his model, he'll determine when he finishes it.
The U25B will be finished once SpinTires, a game that will earn us more money than a Train Simulator Add-on, is released.
