Let's not spread these around, don't think the original artist would be too happy
Maybe yes, maybe not. I have them but no point in giving them out. Beautiful looking, but they derail very easily. I find them unusable. I know the developer was trying his best to make them work, but don't know if he gave up. Haven't seen him on here for the longest time.

They were slated to be in RCAP v2, but they were never fully debugged. To get them to work properly all you need to do is fine tune the BIN.
I haven't seen him around for some time.

Not so easy. The cars can roll over as low as 10 MPH. We both tried changing the derailment values with no luck. There is something wrong with the cars. I know Dan was pulling his hair trying to get them to be stable.

Not to question another builders work, but, are you sure the pivots etc. are all correct ? .. I setup mine as 3 obj and do not get any derailments.

When I tested it for RCAP there were three. A B C. I suppose you could make it A B B B B C, or A C.
I really would like to know what happened to the author. The last revision of the wagons was very good. If I remember correctly the last issue was that it derailed on sharp SE curves. This can be corrected in the blueprint.

Nope because no one could ever figure out how to stop the derails.

Hi guys, I'm still around. I have not had much time for TS or 3d modeling since we had a baby girl 9 moths ago. I do still have the AutoMax cars on my plate, eventhough they are probably a little moldy now...and I'm still looking at the spine cars too. Those are still giving me fits. If memory serves, the last version (5) of the AM cars did solve most of the derailment issues, with the provision that the cars are 22' tall and if you take the curves too fast they will tip over. Watch the colored bulls-eye and see how often you go into the yellow at speed. The cars are made as an A and a B, with the B having an invisible truck, and both having the bar type couplers on the hidden end.
As a side note, if you have been working with the bin files and have gotten them to be more stable, let me know. Also, if you know anything about how the bounding box works and have gotten it to work for your created cars, let me know too. I always have issues if my box is bigger than 5m long. Papa, sorry I was not able to contribute to the RCAP rel 2, life happened, big time.
Thanks,
Daniel
