I'm not sure. My gut tells me that there were no changes to the Gtrax offerings between RW2 and RW3.

I would go ahead and try it. BTW you should use the ones up in the library since they are the former payware versions and have some extra bells.

The cars work fine for me. The only G-Trax stuff that was updated from RW2 to RW3 is the steam engine collection, but they are not in the DLC listing anymore, well the Northerns are there I beleive but not the G4 or Berks. The steamers had lighting updates.

I would also like to know if anyone has problems with the CNW Repaint for the Lightweight passenger coaches I can't get the model to show up and I've followed the Readme exactly. I also have the same problem with the Rock island repaint coaches, this is starting to frustrate me

So now we are back to are you sure you used the right Geo in the right cars. I think one used the sp and one used the sf geo. Check it out cause I have messed this up more than once.

I made one because there is no Rio Grande steam out there, and I needed steam for Tennessee Pass.

UP geo for the CNW and the SF for the RI one.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I just thought of something simple that's easy to forget. Do you have G trax trains checked in the scenario you are are working with?

They would not have shown in the list if they did not. MadMike did not move them to another folder. All of the repaints are in the Gtrax folder.

Open the BIN file and make sure the paths to the GEO files are correct.

buzz456 wrote:@Dan. This got lost in the conversation about the locos but he also asked why he couldn't get the CNW and RI lwt cars to show up. What I was asking about was wether the Geo's for the RW3 would work on the above cars since they were done for RW2?

Shouldn't be an issue at all...

The first release of the RI set had an error, and called for the wrong .geo files. The V2 set had these instructions:

6.Open your file browser and navigate to 'Assets\G-Trax\Trains\Railvehicles\Passenger\SF_Lightwt\Railcars\'
7.From there copy the following files to your desktop:
- GX_SF_LtwtBaggage01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtCoach01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtDiner01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtLounge01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtRPO01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtSleeper01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtSleeper02.GeoPcDx

This should fix it. The CNW cars were someone else's repaint, and they renamed the .geo files (a violation of GtraX standards). Without some repair they may not be usable.

I'll follow up and see what I can do.

The other guy cars load w/o having to do anything with the GEO files at all. They should just show up as D/L ed. Just did it tonight.
