Well, they would be freeware. I just wouldn't be happy if RSC then took ah hem, appropriated, that model (as they state in the EULA) made some changes and then started making money off of it. That would irritate me.

I like the bit about open source, free of charge et cetra.

RSC is not going to take anything, this kind of thinking is chicken little stuff. The UELA is protecting them against people who have been using the product as if it was their's. They found several companies reselling Railworks as a training device and in a new package. Don't let the scare mongers scare you.

Well, they are coming along just fine, been a little under the weather lately. So far I have the carbodies, trucks and accordion completed and am just putting the finishing touches on the couplings and paintjobs. I'd like to do the roof corrugations with a normal map rather than an extra 200 polys for the details. Something else to learn...maybe. The betas should be out next week. Sorry, no pics just yet.

So, got some test shots up of the betas ready to go. I'm going to let the betas go out on my mediafire account soon, just need to do some packaging. The betas will be protected in some way, maybe a password, not sure yet. Those of you who asked to be testers I'll pm you with the information along with some disclosure restrictions. But here's some screen grabs...

As you can see there is a shared bogie in the middle and regular couplers on the ends. There will be more road names and dynamic numbers on one of the cars, nobody has quite figured out how to duplicate numbers across cars yet I think.
