Um, where was that thread we discussed tools for adding alpha channels? was something to do with Mike's SF E units I think.

PSP4 ( and maybe earlier ) apparently handle alpha channels ok too.

Thank you Kali. That really helped.

The car is almost done. I got rid of the glossy look and added a few more things to it:

But as you can see, even after trying Mike's suggestion of changing the number dscv file, I'm still having a problem with the numbers on the car.

Herm... did you try manually changing the number when you install it? I just tried it out on the default model, using the Futura Yellow font set (Digits_futura-yel), manually edited the number and got good results.

I fixed it! !*YAAA*!

After poking around in the bin file, I discovered that it was still using the number dcsv file in the default boxcar folder. So I just changed it to use my edited dcsv file and that did the trick.

Don't worry Chris. This car is going to come in two versions. One with and one without the "Shouldn't Paint So Fast" on it.

And here's what (I hope) the end result will look like:

Still got a lot of work to do; but I really wanted to see how it looked in game.

Does anyone know where I can find a font that matches or very closely matches the text on the reporting mark?

Not sure about the font for the reporting mark...

Just wanted to remind you that their is a 10% horizontal stretch for the 50' box. For my reskins I had to scrunch them by that amount to make they look proper.

Thank you for that bit of info Papa.

So far Engravers MT is the closest font I've found for the reporting mark. I also can't figure out how to recolor the latches on the doors. I recolored the section of the template labeled door parts, but it didn't do anything. !**conf**!

I also don't think there's any way to move the numbers without editing the model.
