Help finding a font for the Rock Island

I don't know if this was actually done, but it was an entry for Rock Island paint schemes for the US Bi-Centennial in 1976.



It's done on the improved Brindley GP7.

Your work is looking fantastic. Years ago, I lived in Chicago's south side and saw these guys every day ( I lived about 100ft from the Morgan Park branch) Its sad to see their last years
pulling commuters to and from Chicago, then replaced by Metra.
They were a sight to see and hear.

Based on the G-Trax payware Lightweight set. Still working through creating templates, but I'm getting there.

Am I the only one having problems with Michael Calvin's Rock Island Rocket passenger cars? I've done the download and installation several times, but all the cars still carry the Santa Fe name, not the Rock Island name as shown in the picture. With 69 downloads (and counting) I can't help but feel I'm doing something wrong, as no one else seems to have complained, but I can't see what it might be. Here's what I've been doing:

From Assets\G-Trax\Trains\Railvehicles\Passenger\SF_Lightwt_stripe\Railcars I copy the following files to the desktop:
- GX_SF_LtwtBaggage01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtCoach01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtDiner01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtLounge01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtRPO01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtSleeper01.GeoPcDx
- GX_SF_LtwtSleeper02.GeoPcDx

I then copy these into Assets\G-Trax\Trains\Railvehicles\Passenger\RI_Lightwt\Railcars\ and delete the desktop copies. The cars the show up correctly in the rolling stock list, but have the Santa Fe name as I mentioned. Any thoughts?

Download this file: http://mdroaming.home.comcast.net/LightwtLettersSF.TgPcDx

Then open the 'Textures' folder in the railcars directory. Find the original file with this name and rename it x-LightwtLettersSF.TgPcDx. Copy the downloaded file into the textures folder.

That should fix the problem.

Apparently, the 'Stripe' is a repaint I downloaded. You should be able to use the .Geo files from the SF_lightwt folder, as they are the same date, and I believe I copied them to the stripe folder to begin with.

I have something similar. All my geo files are at the beginning not inter spaced with the bin files. I'm not real sharp on what's doing what but something isn't seeing something.

If you click on the 'Name' at the top of the column the files will intermix. Click on it again, and they'll sort back out by type. I don't know why they aren't working.

Later edit: Make a copy of the RI_Lightwt folder, and rename it SF_Lighwt_stripe... all at once everything will work

I have a pathing error in the .bin file.

For analysis purposes, rename the SF-Lightwt folder to x-SF-Lightwt and see if you get a texture error for the lettering.

If it still does the Santa Fe name, restore that folder, then rename the SF_lightwt_Stripe folder to x-SF_lightwt_Stripe and try it again.

If you get a texture error, it may be an issue with a .bin edit.

Error located, Files have been fixed, will upload a V 2.0ops file in a couple of hours.

Hawk has the upgraded files... Please read the readme, it has some revisions as well.

No change. All I can think of is a re-install of the original G-trax files and see what happens.
