I've been meaning to buy some of Dick Cowens steamers. I keep seeing them everywhere. I'm a PRR steam guy though. God I love their engines. Bloody shame no one has built one yet. Some of the finest steamers ever to ride the rails.

And yeah, that is what I plan to do with the audio. Except use the Railworks China audio blueprints since they are pretty much tuned perfectly already.

Nice! Hey that is a nice repaint of the GP40. Don't tell me you holding out on us lol!

I'm trying myself to add a passenger cam into the interior, but I'm getting errors.

I am so tempted to see how polished I can get one without it looking utterly daft, but I don't think there'd be much use for a mirrored tube really :) I might do a bit of shading/subtle dirt on one when I have a chance, but Amtrak aren't really my favourite company...

the glass looks liek it can be refined a bit. Tinted and the amfleets will look even better. I rarely see those cars with dirty on them except on the on the underbody.

The ends do get a little buildup, enough to break up the flatness a bit; that's all I mean by "subtle". What's wrong with the windows? need tinting?

ah yes true the end do get dirty a bit. The glass/Windows can be tinted out a bit as the real amfleet windows are. Its near impossible to see inside looking from outside

These are rough. The shine I haven't even screwed with yet. The ribs laugh at 8x Anti Aliasing. Haven't bothered with dirt yet either. *!lol!* Much better than the originals though by a long shot.

Oh and the Amtrak Geep, I did that about 9 months ago.. Yes I held out on it. (it's actually not finished and 1/2 done)

It looks very neat. Very realistic on your computer as well.

Great work! Look forward to more Wip photos.

I honestly don't think I'm touching much else. The windows can't be tinted by the way. The glass on these has the same issue with any glass in any other locomotive I've seen. Painting the alpha white to make the color layer solid (instead of translucent) in turn makes the texture super shiney and highly unrealistic looking.

I like them the way they are.. I'll do the coach car tomorrow.

EDIT
: GAH. How could I forget the red pinstripe on the bottom. !!jabber!!

Well the one you have is Phase IV. Keep it and do the Phase IVb with is the one with red stripe at the bottom.

Phase IV (Northeast Direct) can not be done with these cars. One of the main characteristics of Phase IV was the large font size running number near the door. The auto digits for these only are good for the main number plate. Phase IVb also have running numbers along the side but the font is small and tucked in near a window and it won't look completely out of place if they are missing or the same number appears across all cars as it'll be largely unreadable from a distance since the font is so small.

Thats unfortunate. Hopefully you can present this to RSC so they can avoid this problem if and when they do the Amfleets.

Either way your attention to detail is appreciated.
