Im one of those eastern US NS, SOU, NW, CR railfans that will buy anything that comes out in those schemes. So yes, I would buy them!!! Never knew NS was the sole purchaser of D9-40Cs. I know a bunch bought the D8-40Cs. (those are the NS designations btw)

*!!thnx!!*

Just my 2/100, but I've never heard the correct Alco engine in real life and any recording I've heard is possibly not accurate or good quality so I'm content with "close enough", that goes for the PA-1 thread too.

THE MONEY

Money is over-rated. TIME is a truly valuable commodity these days.

Just for fun, I converted the trucks today. About 70% done.

While JohntheRedneck rallies for an ALCo, I personally would like to rally for a GE B23-7. It's a BADLY needed locomotive for the game. Think of the repaint possibilities! Maybe I'm biased since they're basically all I see ;)

HMCR, which is 150 miles from my house, has a B23-7, of which I have tons of photos, inside and out. I've been ovee just about every inch of it. It is a high-nose though.
