OK.
Go into the bin file of the NH Sd40 and go down to engine sound. Under provider it should say RSC. Under product change it to DonnerPass. Then under blueprint set ID it should say <BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\SD40\SD40 Engine Sound.xml</BlueprintID>

That should do it.

The beauty of using RWTools is that it makes a .bak file in case you mess something up you can always go back.

Ok, so I'm going to finally get to it today! As for the alerter sound, I figure I might as well get used to it. As it does provide some realism!

The nd one stands for no driver. The other one is the one you want.

You don't. Open blueprints with RW-Tools and edit the XML.
Be careful when editing: errors and typos cause schema errors.

@Buzz: a schema is the structure of an XML file. It describes what attributes are permitted, what is their type, which tags are inside other tags, etc. It is used by the XML parser to detect errors in the XML file, in addition to syntax errors, unclosed tags, etc.

This is really giving me one big headache. And all I want to do is alias the sound. The blue print editor is not working with me whatsoever.

well, after trying to alias it, it has not worked with me. Quite frankly, I'm fed up with it. Since I only have utilites and not RW tools, not to mention the difficulties using blueprint editor, I'm just giving up on it. It's way above my head and knowledge. Sorry for wasting all your time
