Thinned down the wheel some and cleaned it up.

It's looking good so far. The next thing to do is the boss that the end of the side rod fits to. The way I explain in the tutorial needs you to have a good eye for making a smooth curve. There's actually a much more accurate way to make a transition concave curve between two circles, but that is more advanced stuff that I'll leave to another tutorial. For now, it's good enough to make the lower boss the way I show, copying, resizing and shifting the central hub, then merging them, patching the two bits together and shofting the points, judging it by eye. Looking forward to seeign that when it'd done.

I'll get back to the tutorial in a few days. I've got some pressing matters to attend to in the meantime.

I've got the wheels into the game as an engine that you can place on the track. The next step would be to animate the wheels and make them driveable (it's nice to see something moving, even if it's only a set of wheels!), but before I do that, I'd like to know if people have caught up first. Please post here when you've got your wheels into the game.

Thanks!

Wow! That was quick! And there was I thinking I could take a break for a couple of weeks before going on to the next bit !*roll-laugh*! Seriously though, your wheels look perfect. Well done!

I'm very glad that you're enjoying running the Consolidation. It's great to know that the work I put into it is appreciated and that people are noticing all the novel features I built in. The 56xx was actually the bar I aimed at raising, and I knew I'd have to go even further with animating things like the fire mass. All I need now is for people to help spread the word about it!

I'll do some more on the FEF-3 over the next few days and perhaps continue with the tutorial next week.

Cheers!
