Freight car issues

Does anyone have any ideas on why I can get a car to preview but it fails to render in game? I can hear it snapping to the track but no visuals at all. The car displays fine as clutter scenery though. I thought I noticed a post about a similar issue but I cant seem to find it.

If it is a repaint then you need to read the readme file on what files to copy where. It sounds like you have not copied the geopcdx files to where they need to go just a guess

Its not a repaint but a complete car I've done. I did check the folders for the geopcdx files, just to see, and they are indeed listed. Any other ideas?

Problem solved! After comparing the xml file to another car I realized that my horizontal offset number was goofed. Fixing that took care of this issue. Now its time to move on to the next one!

Me too! Its amazing how a missing minus sign can cause soo much frustration!

That is coding for you, I use to write scripts in php and others and that was the worst when something did not work and you rack your brain for hours to find you forgot to add a closing bracket or a period or 1 little thing that breaks everything
