Just had a little play around today. I have no idea if NS have any hoppers in this colour but I like it none the less.

No idea either, but with NS running them by their 10000's one wouldn't be surprised if they came in all shades of black, brown or silver and anything in between. Unpainted aluminium ones do weather to a dull gray, your car looks like unpainted Corten steel. Corten steel is not like stainless (which contains lots of chromium that makes it difficult to weld), but nevertheless corrosion resistive and can therefor remain unpainted.

Did you get them into the game with their autonumbers showing? Somehow I've never managed to have all of the default hoppers (gondola's technically speaking as they have no bottom discharge doors) with their individual number showing in multiple long trains.
I mean when you have them in the game by the hundreds, do the autonumbers run out or something?
Sometimse the numbers show in the uncoupling window or in the F6 view, mostly they don't. It puzzles me.

Wicked! That's one big car, they come in up to 86 feet length! These cars carry items like car interior part and other light but voluminous stuff. No auto plant whould be complete without lots of these standing around.
Where do these come from? I have the NSAND as well but so far only have run auto racks up and down the auto plant.

Did you want to resemble unpainted aluminium, as one can expect such cars to be made of lightweight materials?

Like Corten steel, unpainted aluminium is still often laquered with some clear gloss finish to make it look neat and clean longer. Or it that anodised aluminium, how are aircraft finished for example? Both materials are often used in trendy high tech architecture, sculptures and such. Just go to the nearest business park and see for yourself.

Great route, NSAND, that needs great cars and engines.

These are the Bethgons? Those are of aluminium to increase payload.

Neat logo, but no numbers either. The logo usually spares the ribs. Some road use actual decals/stickers, but most use masks which don't adapt to ribs.

You know, you could do a little stencil saying something like:

Do not weld or paint.
Finish FRA 123456-7
Date 04/12 XXXX

XXXX = your initials

Take some artistic license and make your work last in all of our sims the world over.

I'm not that good at this skinning lark so thease hoppers might not be released. The AutoPart box has been uploaded and I'm sure Hawk will upload when he next updates the site.

A slight change to it.
