RSC SD40-2 High Nose Templates ???

Unread postby Irondale » Sun Apr 15, 2012 10:17 pm

Greetings Everyone,
Has anyone seen or know of any re-painting templates for R.S.C.'s SD40-2 High Nose?
Kuju's SD40-2 templates will not work with this model.
Thanks for the help !*salute*!

There is a Southern repaint of this unit available, so it can be done.

The model is flawed and not updated by RSC yet. Flawed in the sense that the drop steps are down and too large. The couplers extend and retract on coupling/uncuoupling to compensate. One can live with that, but the default couplers are too springy and the units overlap during heavy dynamic braking causing derailments without apparent reason. Also, the default cab view is still short hood forwards, even though N&W, SOU and NS always ran their units long hood forwards until rebuilding and chopping the high short hood.
