Bouncing & derailments trying to attach locomotive to cars

Unread postby BVERailer » Fri Jan 24, 2025 4:56 pm

I recently began learning the Blueprint Editor to import a locomotive into the game. I haven't had any problems getting the locomotive physically into the game, however I've had quite some trouble making it able to couple up to other rail vehicles. When I attempt to move the locomotive into a couple, it bounces off the other vehicle well before it comes into contact. After alternatively attempting to couple them manually in the scenario editor, when I try to drive the train it springs everything up into the air and derails. I originally figured this was an issue with the collision box, however no value smaller than the actual length of the engine has changed this effect at all. The engine runs completely fine on its own. Anyone experienced enough that can point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

It won't let me add videos as an attachment, so I uploaded them to Google Drive for reference:

I can't offer a solution but it may be connected to the collision box dimensions.

Whenever I modify the collision box dimensions, the engine clips through the ground and the bouncing issue is still present. I've come across multiple sites that supposedly have the solutions but I've tried each of them to no avail.

Update: I was able to resolve the issue. It was a problem within the bogie files, unrelated to the collision data.
