When I knew he wasn't going to release them, I went ahead and made a Chessie repaint for myself:

I've thought about releasing it but I'm hesitant in case Bill decides he wants to release his and it was his idea first.

Pfft.. Don't mind me.. Everyones equal. Release away dude. The more the merrier.

I still have mine, use mine but I want to wait to RW3 to see if the shadowing is any better. I wanted a mix of newish and dirt covered but RW2 high detail shadows ruined it for me, so I got all disgruntled and lost interest. !**duh*!! I'm a OCD nutball with certain things. Styckx was upset about the shadowing effect on his work, so he decided to wait for better lighting. I hope !*drool*! he will find RW3 to his liking and release those dirty beauties. All those GP9's I bought just sit in the engine house. I have no use for them other than the shape file to fill up ya'lls repaints! :D *!!wink!!*

Styckx, your work is amazing regardless of how the game is currently handling shadows. I hope you continue to release repaints as I not only enjoy them, but learn a lot from your posts on how you made them.

BTW your OCD seems to be rubbing off on me (must be that first tutorial I read of yours). It takes me around 3 months to release a repaint *!embar*!

Well, if you really don't mind then alright. I'll get these packed up for a release. I just didn't want to seem like I was trying to steal from someone. I hope RW3 fixes that issue with the shadows so you can release your set of Chessies. I know I'm not the only one who was looking forward to running those dirty units on a few big coal drags.

I know how OCD feels. I suffer from it myself though probably not as bad as you. It's so hard for me to consider any of my repaints "done". There's always some little details I feel like I left out.

The Chessie repaint really looks great. I have been some what disapointed since I dont see much Chessie Locomotives out there. Everyone wants to run CSX.

I saay release them. I would be proud to run those units.

I'm glad to hear you say that, I felt a little guilty about releasing the UP Bush, but I figured if you hadn't released it by now, you probably weren't going to. And I too know what you mean about the OCD, That Bush was actually the second one I did, and I've even made "improvements" on it since I released it.

But seriously, I have nothing but respect for your work. Even though you don't know it, you taught me a lot and were a huge inspiration to me.

Wow... Thanks.. I love everyone elses work and learned a lot from many also. I know I don't say this often enough but I do appreciate everyone elses work. It is what is great about this community. Knowledge continually passed down and the hobby thrives and stays alive! It's a beautiful thing.

I saw that Bush repaint but haven't got a chance to check it out. Screenshots looked great though. I thought you stole my hard drive for a minute. !*roll-laugh*!
