Freight Car Won't Couple On One End

My most recent work, a ATSF 50' DD boxcar has a issue. One end of the car will couple, the coupler on the other end is a no go. Tried a different engine and a car and still the one end fails. The coupler on both ends are exactly the same so not a question of the design. Both ends match up center and height.

Where within the blueprint would I have made a error causing one end not to couple? XML enclosed.

Looks to me as if you havent rotated the rear coupling recieving point and pivot, it is facing into the wagon (forwards).

In the 4x4 matrix for a coupler at the rear of the vehicle, it should look something like:
-1 0 0 0
0 1 0 0
0 0 -1 0

With the final line being the X, Y, Z positions of the coupler, with a 1 in the final box.

Yep. That was the problem. I do my couplers very different from the norm. I don't bother with the matrix. It was not working out for me. I mount my couplers directly to the car. They are part of the whole model, not separate. It works for me.
My error was this: Front pivot X is 8.4709. I had back pivot X at the same number, 8.4709. NOT -8.4709.

Changed that back pivot number to minus and problem solved.

Total CRS when I did those. Anyhow, the boxcar is now my 6th car. 2 boxcars, 2 bulkhead flats, a partially enclosed autorack an a TOFC car.

I have had to do my own couplers the same way, as part of the model mesh. Just got to remember the pivots etc need to be set up as if they are not part of the mesh but attached via the matrices
