I got another TOFC car out the door. This one is a RTTX Twin-45. It's appearance is much better than the F89J I've done.
These 89' flats are not my friend I tell ya.
Started testing in the afternoon yesterday and didn't get far. The car operates on straight sections just fine. But when it goes into a curve, there's hardly any bogey rotation. This causes the car to climb the rails and tip over. Two frames of mind here. It's a bogey problem within the bogey blueprint, or the data I entered for Collision Centre Y in the wagon blueprint is wrong. Might also be the Collison length data is off as well.
When computing Collision Centre Y: This is a loaded flat with two trailers. This is the formula listed in the docs. "To calculate this value: Take the height of Vehicle Subtract the driving wheel diameter from it Halve the result Then add the driving wheel diameter back in Enter the value obtained"
Pretty simple and I understand it. What I'm curious about is the height of the car. Do I include the trailers? I computed data as if it had no load. If it's collision length I'll just have to play with it and see it fixes things.
.xml enclosed.
