Carnation Reefer

Unread postby QcRail » Sun May 12, 2019 10:58 am

Hi all,

May I reserve the priviledge of repainting the GreatNortherner 40ft. reefer into the «Carnation» scheme?

Why this request? this week on my first road cycling outing I had a grave accident - to cut short : 7 ribs + collarbone broken and as you may guess lots of road rashes. Nasty, nasty PAIN. Anyway, my concentration is limited and I not fonctional enough as being right handed (my whole right side is injured from knee to shoulder). My helmet save me from .... much worse! Anyway, this project would be part of my recovery, but patience is needed !!**sorry**!!

Here is what I could start with ...

Thanks for your understanding !*cheers*!

Looks great. These "Billboard Reefers" were originally hand painted by journeymen sign painters individually. The many colors of the pictorial made stenciling impossible,

This is super. There was a Carnation Condensed Milk Plant at Monroe. There was a Borden’s Plant there as well... I believe they were both served by the NP...

Goodness gracious! Were you hit by a car?? Get better soon. Road rash is never fun. My friend went down on his motorcycle about a min ahead of me on a slow speed (25mph) curve. His jacket and helmet saved his head and torso but he got pretty bad road rash on his knees and legs

Thanks for inquiring. I suspect - no witness and no recollection as I had a head trauma (thank goodness a scan reveilled neither bleeding nor further injury). !!*ok*!! Strangely, my attention span is reduced and pain is still too acute for me to concentrate efforts on Photoshop. So, I scan the net for images, car markings etc. and when I tire, I doze ... !!jabber!!

Patience Cascadians ... !*don-know!*

Holy cow my friend, that was a close call.
Quebec roads in spring time... maybe you hit a crater-sized pothole.
You basically need to sleep non-stop for the next few months.
