Here in this series I'll try to explain how after you edit your texture you convert it back to TgPcDx form used in RailWorks.

Thank you Sir. I appreciate it. Just one last thing here. when you go back in game you need to do the restart tab in world editor for your changes to show up.

Patience *!lol!*

RW-Tool works well, if one follows a very specific procedure, my tutorial is about 80% finished --- will be highly illustrated in .PDF format

Soon, soon, soon !*salute*!

My BLE Connie's are finished, apart from re-numbering into a more appropriate road number series - this is where I am stuck. I have created a new csv file with the road numbers, but that is it! Mike said to open it in the blueprint editor and export it as a dcsv. That does nothing. My blueprint editor doesn't seem to do much of anything with anything! RWTools doesnt seem to deal with this either. I am probably being as thick as a whale omelette in not grasping this, but even my "Google-Fu" has failed me. Once I get past this stage, I want to move onto some other things for the B&LE... Just don't want to bother Mike again with him being in the middle of his own project

If you tell me what numbers you want I can make one for you.

Good News, thanks to Chacal *!!thnx!!*

You can browse, and be inspired by my second tutorial, treating the conversion of a TS .TgPcDx texture file to .dds and back into the game - thus .dds to .TgPcDx. Yes! 16 pages with lots of illustrations. I had a great pleasure writing the procedure and if anyone has a suggestion or an error to signal, please get in touch.

This is all published now on the web site.
There is an older tutorial there named "Repainting locos", perhaps it's redundant, should we keep it? I don't know who wrote it.

I have a question in relation to a "viewer" to use to check the finished model. There used to be one, a utility, that allowed this for the old MSTS. You could also spin the model through 360 degrees in all three axis.

Is there one for Rail Sim or you have to keep loading via the game to visually check your work?

To the best of my knowledge we don't have such a tool. I just keep TS open while I'm painting and after making changes just hit the re-start button if what I am changing are textures. It will then show your changes and you can spin around the object if you place it in a scenario right in from of your start position.

My computer is nor great - it runs TS well, but may struggle with my photo editor (PSP) open.

But I'll give it a try!
