Removing digital textures from locomotives

Unread postby CSXAC60CW » Fri Apr 21, 2017 5:08 pm

How could I delete a digital logo from a locomotive without having it say missing texture all over it? Same with freight cars. I'm sure repainters know how to do this for sure...

More specific and I'm sure one of us can solve your problem.

I think he means removing it via editing the alpha channel and covering it with the checkerboard.

Say on the latest NS LHF, the Norfolk Southern logo is digital and not "painted on" if you get what I mean. I was planning on fixing it by painting the Norfolk Southern logo on to it. Wanting to fix a bunch of my engines that way. Hate the digital kind, they always flicker like crazy when at a good distance

What he is asking is how to remove a decal texture. What you need to do is make the alpha layer fully transparent
Google how to do it with your painting program.
Da Build: Intel Core I5-9600k, Nvida RTX 2060 Super, 32 GB ram, and way too much storage.

Make the apha layer black. The decal becomes transparent.
