CP GP9 Numbering issue.

Unread postby AmericanSteam » Wed May 18, 2016 12:03 pm

Gentlemen, I will preference this post by saying I am relatively new to reskining. I downloaded the 9 repaints of CN GP9s. Following the instructions I copied the GP9_01.GeoPcDX file from the engine folder to each of the 9 engine folders. I then tried to copy the gp9_cab.GeoPcDX file from the cabview folder to the cabview folder in each of the 9 locomotives. There were no cabview folders in the 9 GP9 folders so I created one in each and placed the file there.
Now my problem is this, when trying to use these there are white boxes with yellow and black stripes and missing data message where the numbers should be. How can I fix this?

Hello,

Those models use the numbers from Arnold (ATSF3814) Andressen's Boston & Maine GP9s as a basis, so if you install those B&M repaints then the CP ones should work.
They can be found here:http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/download-library/engine-repaints?view=document&id=750:boston-maine-b-m-bm-gp9-re-paints&catid=18:engine-repaints
Let me know if you have success!

Interesting new twist. Now the CP numbering is there and correct but when I try to place the B&M only part of the trucks show and nothing else. I do own the DTG GP9 pack. I am not completely understanding on this but I looked in the texture folder of the B&M GP9's and compared it to the texture folder of the default GP9 in the RSC GP9 pack and there is a lot more files in the GP9 texture folder. Could this be my issue?
