Speedometer Blues

Unread postby JerryC » Sun Aug 09, 2015 5:01 am

I've seen this issue twice now, am wondering if anyone else has encountered this.

I have an analog speedo needle. The range in the BP is 0 - 80. In the modeling program, the animation works fine. In TS, the needle works fine up to about 45mph. It then rapidly skips ahead to the max speed, then falls back to the proper speed. This happens accelerating and decelerating.

I had the same problem before, but I am not sure what the cause was. So, I re-animated it and set the animation type to linear(3ds max). made some minor changes in the BP and now it works exactly the way it should.

I'll give the linear interpolation a try. This is Blender btw, but i've had the same issue in 3DCrafter, where there is not an option to set linear. Progress of sorts today; I reset the initital needle orientation and got it to speed forward to 80, instead of moving counter-clockwise to 80.
