This classic route done by Bob Artim and the crew from NERW takes us through a fictional run in Pennsylvania that utilizes a ton of mainline running switching and great scenery. Coming soon the famous old North Eastern PA Division all re-done with Scale Rail Track, SMM Digital signals, and a lot of people and textures added. We will stick some teasers up here for the next couple of weeks and hope to have her ready early next month. It will also include some rolling stock and a new loco or two.
We are asking for a $5.00 donation to keep this forum alive and healthy.

We hope you enjoy running it as much as we did modernizing the track and signaling and adding people and other stuff of interest.

Once again this is dedicated to Bob. Here's a pic from the park on the new/old route.

The old route had lots of scenarios presumably these will still be valid with the updated route as there is no change to the layout. Well worth $5, look forward to it.

The overall layout hasn't changed. All the industries and passenger stations are still there, along with siding and destination markers. A couple of mainline crossovers were moved for better access to enroute industrial areas, plus there is a new single crossover for better access to a passenger station. A few industrial spurs off the main track had their power switches replaced with manual switches. Some signaling was also consolidated. It didn't make sense to have a full set of signals for a crossover, then within a few 100 feet or so, have another set of signals controlling access into a yard, passenger station or industrial area.

If you're planning on using the old route scenarios, I would copy one over to the new route and try it out.

I think the marble monument is especially fitting for a memorial to Bob.
He didn't like to be in the spotlight and was focused on getting the job done.
Also he was a stonecutter up until the end, this would be familiar to him.
