This can have two causes: . .. <snip> . . .Time to check this was 10 minutes by the way ... <snip>
Thanks Kris. I checked "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\MariasPass\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44DC\BNSF\Lights\ES44DC_Main_Headlight.bin", After using serz.exe (read that suggestion in the forums, thanks!) it is changed into a xml and i read. . .
</Colour>
<CastShadow d:type="bool">1</CastShadow>
<DayNightCycle d:type="bool">0</DayNightCycle>
And although I made no changes I tested again . . . bridge is still transparent to light.
Then I opened "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\MariasPass\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44DC\BNSF\Lights\ES44DC_Headlight_Glow.bin" and read. . .
</Colour>
<CastShadow d:type="bool">0</CastShadow>
<DayNightCycle d:type="bool">0</DayNightCycle>
Just changed the 0 to 1 and will test again . . . just did and the light still went through the bridge deck. tried emptying cache but that did not solve the imperfection either.
I double checked:
- "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\MariasPass\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44DC\BNSF\Lights\ES44DC_Headlight_Glow.bin"
- "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\MariasPass\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44DC\BNSF\Lights\ES44DC_Main_Headlight.bin"
And both have
<CastShadow d:type="bool">1</CastShadow>
- - - a while later . . .
I now understand it will also have a major impact on performance because it has to create shadows for every tree and rabb near the light. So I think I will not pursue any further. But it was fun, thank for teaching me new thing Kris !
