There have been other reports on the Steam forums about this.

Some chatter about obsolete OpenAL.64.dll causing this. This should be addressed in the upcoming update per Steve at DTG.
One thing. The setup_audio.bat and the corresponding obsolete OpenAL.dlls in the Install folder should finally be removed.

Did you do a file verify? Some report this as a solution. When doing a file verify open the task manager and make sure that you do not have any instances of Railworks.exe or Railworks64.exe running in the background.
EDIT: Information continuing to be updated.

Yes I have Verified numerous times. Still will not function. Waiting to see if DTG will fix the problem. I have verified the Visual C++2010 has been removed and 2015-2022 are installed.

This is a real puzzle. I have the game running on three different machines and the 64 bit loads and runs on all three. Two are still on win10 and this here one is on 11. You still getting the same error message on start up? Have you tried running logmate to see if it gives you a clue?

Hi Buzz, Log Mate shows no Files at all. Nothing just a blank Report.

Did you start it before starting the game?

Yes LogMate was started before starting the Game. It shows no files or anything else. So Railworks64 doesn't start at all. Really strange. I get the Display Screen and that is all.

Yes I will not run either. Same problem as 64 bit.

Just spitballing now but look in RailWorks\TempDump\Logs and see if there is anything in there from when you tried to start in 64.

Yes there is but I am not smart enough to figure it out. It sends the error report somewhere I think.
