Back in 2010 or so, I started building a route for myself and had a great time fiddling with it over the next five years or so. But fir the last couple years, any time I try to load that route into train sim, it crashes the game. I have no understanding why. Could someone give me a plausible clue please???

Hey! *&!welcome!&* back! Couple of quick questions. Are you updated to TS2021 and if so are you loading the 64bit version?

Yes, I'm currently running 2021 version and will typically run 64 bit when I'm not trying to run my route. With my route ive attempted both 32 and 64 bit and they both will crash..
Oh and hey.. Thank you for the kind welcome back :).. Its been a while..

I suppose I'm not being very helpful. It seems I've left out quite a lot of information. I do apologize..

My system is a Ryzen 7-2700 currently with 24 gigs of 3200 Mhz ram. My GP is an Nvidia 1070 seahawk with 8 gigs GRam Motherboard is an Asus Crosshair VII Hero. It is not overclocked.. Default resolution is set at 1980x1024.

I am currently runniing the second run through of steam cache verification. The first time I ran it it reported 5,399 files as failing and replaced them supposedly..
Next up, I;ll buy the game again and reinstall it. Sometimes there are subtle differences between verasions and I'm a rather curious person..

Pam- If you haven't already done so, delete any instances of PONtrack.bin. That might fix it.

PONTrack.bin?? Not familiar with that but i'll do that too.. Thank you.. Just as a quick update, I got it working in 32 bit mode by going back to TS2015 and resaving the route and copying it over.. All that was needed then was to copy my old asset directory to TS2021. But yeahhh, It still dies a horrible death in 64 bit mode.. Perhaps the PONTrack.bin thing will help that out..
Thank you all. Please cross your fingers for me..

My gods there were a lot of those files.. all gone now.. Thanks for the tip on that.. 32 bit seems to work ok now, but 64bit is still freezing up during the start up animation with all the spinning blue things.. Right now though, I'm just happy it works..
Lotta weird things in my route.. Hills and rocks that werent there, miles upon miles of flowers i never planted laid out perfectly across the tracks. Weeds growing wild in the fields and houses and trees flying high in the air.. It's a Salvidor Dali painting ::lol::. If I hadnt seen the Cascadia Route there i might have been upset but that route is just drop dead gorgeous, and since i live in the cascades anyway, well, I just had to have it.. Just waiting to be verified now .. Will be good to drive up in my own home area.. :)

There is a choice on turning off procedural flora. If you do that a lot of your errant flowers grass and so forth will go away.

Leave any land untended for 2 years and wild growth will happen.
