Broken links and milk bottles

This is an unusual one...

I have noticed that even though I have all the required assets (OG Cascadian, Both Asset packs) I seem to find Milk Bottles. I have no clue why this would be. Any thoughts?

The NP TO Signals also don't animate when the invisible switch is thrown. Possible bad links? I have no clue to what would cause this either.

Route is superb so far even with these oddities!

It would help if you could show a picture so one of us could see what's missing.

hi,

some milk bottles are to be expected (and we have found a few ourselves), probably caused by the two stages of conversion (StP to Cdn and then the split of the Cdn route itself). we had to swap several dtg/kuju assets and something may have gone missing in the process, but nothing critical (both fuunctionally and also visually) should be among those milk bottles.

we will check the np train order board, it might have slipped past us during testing -- thanks for the heads-up!

(sorry for the missing capitalization, due to a minor injury in my left hand i have to type one-handed at the moment)

cheers!

The only milk bottles I have found are around the town of Index. There are many in the woods, RW tools found no missing objects. They may be some type of shrub or rock.
There is also two short sections of track in Gold Bar that shows a 30 mph speed instead of 70.

I've noted them all over the system, but as you said it's mostly Index that has the majority bunch of them (In fact, the area with the most milk bottles I noted is right where the Index-Galena Logging Railroad meets up with the main).

I haven't gotten too deep into the woods (pun intended) but if you run RWTools it only shows using G-Trax and Kuju assets but if you run the route checker it shows using RSDL foliage. That could be the milk bottles.

Looking for further clues it looks like the Winter season doesn't have the milk bottles maybe.

hi, thanks for the new comments and reports.

buzz, rsdl assets are the foliagepack01 which should be part of the us/eu asset packs. (i hope.) it's in use all over the route as lineside vegetation, so if it's missing there would be milk bottles every few feet basically on the entire route (east and west of the pass).

regarding the milk bottle infestation at index around the logging rr junction, does the scene look look like on the screenshot below in your game or are there noticable gaps in the scenery?

I can only go by what I am seeing but I'm pretty sure it's a bush or a clump of bushes because it usually seems to be too close to a tree to be another tree.

Maybe this has already been mentioned, but just in case ...

If you go into the World Editor and double-click on the milk bottle, you can see from the info in the fly-out what was supposed to be there (the path and name of the missing asset).

thanks for the screenshots!

there's clearly some foliage missing in that scene that should be there -- and worryingly, at least one of the missing assets is definitely from the kuju rail sim assets! which i know you do have in your train sim, so whatever is wrong must be in our route's assets or scenery tiles.

this is quite puzzling but at least we can now start to narrow it down.

thanks for all your help!

cheers

I took Mike's tip and the first time I got the following: scenery~vegitation-TreeLine_con x7_3D.xml. Then on another scenery~vegetation~Bush_Bramble_line_50m.xml.

Sometimes I just get the gizmo as soon as I click on it.

I think we have determined the culprit. In comparison with Northerners shots it seems to be the small grass and some other shrubberies are missing...

My scenery slider is set to 10.

*Don't mind those GP38-2s sitting in the service tracks, was having some temporal fun !*roll-laugh*!

The editor lists the missing items at Index as Bramble line 10m found in the Kuju/railsimulator folders. However, RW tools lists many missing items that I suspect are actually from Stevens Pass. Such as tunnel doors. I am currently running from the east end of the route all the way to the west end. But from Skykomish to Index I have not found any other missing items.
