A couple questions...

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I just wanted to ask a couple quick questions to the Gtrax team working on the Cascadia Route as well as saying thank you. Most of the other developers of NA Train sim stuff seem to be focused in the 2nd gen diesels to modern day. So it's fantastic we have a dev working on 1920's-30's era routes with off the wall stuff like interurban equipment, these GN Electrics, and Steam locomotives. So Thanks Gtrax, I've enjoyed everything I've gotten from you guys so far, and this new GN route is no exception.

I do have a couple of questions for you though...

1. Does me buying the route and rolling stock early while it's in Phase 1 grant me access to the Phase 2 for free when it releases?

2. Can you give us any hints to what new rolling stock will be coming in Phase 2. Personally would love to see a Little Joe...

Thanks
Dylan

From what I have gathered:

1. I think Phase 2 will be released for a discount for those that have bought the phase 1 Cascadian.

2. Why would the Little Joes be included with Phase 2? The GN never owned any of them and in fact the Milwaukee Road (Which had their own electrification over the Cascades) never ran them there either. We had boxcabs right up to the end in 1971-72.

Hope these answers have helped. Maybe Rick could chime in with the official answers !!*ok*!!

I thought for sure that the GN at least tested the little joe? (Or at least a locomotive that is very similar.) GN isn't my main railroad of interest though so I'm not familiar with all their railroad formalities...

Okay so depending on what comment the mods release first, I did a search and your right, it's not a little joe, it's a locomotive called the W-1. My bad

The Y-1 was selected for Cascadian because (1) it fits the time frame we had in mind; (2) there were enough of them built to make it worthwhile; and (3) it looks oh-so-cool in its fancy Empire Builder colors! No other electrics are planned, so no W-1. Only two of those were built anyway.

The release format and rolling stock roster for Cascadian West are TBD. There are plenty of GN, NP and MILW locomotives around, many of them freeware, that will be suitable for the west side.

I downloaded the route last month I believe and Im curious if there are any plans for adding more quick drive starting points. Id really like to explore the old main but I rather not start clear on the east end of the route. So far I love the route. Great work as always
